Privacy Policy

Simply put: 1) privacy is important, especially in education which is governed by FERPA, 2) we only collect user data as necessary to provide the Campuswire service, 3) we never sell or monetize user data, and we think doing so is uninspired and often unethical, and 4) user data, on Campuswire, belongs to the users responsible for their creation.

FERPA and Student Data

Whilst using Campuswire, you may create or come into contact with personally identifiable Student Data that is protected as defined in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”), 20 U.S.C. § 1232(g). CampusTech, Inc. agrees to treat Student Data as confidential and not to share it with third parties other than as described in these Terms.

You authorize CampusTech, Inc. to access and process Student Data solely for the purposes of providing the Service, as an outsourced institutional function pursuant to FERPA 34 CFR Part 99.31(a)(1). As between CampusTech, Inc. and Teacher, Teacher owns right, title, and interest to all Student Data you provide or otherwise make available to us, and CampusTech, Inc. does not own, control, or license such Student Data, except so as to provide the Service described herein. You acknowledge and agree that, as between the parties, you are solely responsible for any and all Student Data, whether provided by Teacher, Student or any other third-party.

We do not share your personal information with third-parties, except where required by law, to protect our own rights, or to provide a service to you.

We may, however, disclose anonymised and aggregated versions of this information for business, marketing or public relations purposes.

CampusTech, Inc. does not intend its services to be used by minors under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect or store personal information from children (visitors under the age of 13). If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, we encourage you to contact us immediately, and we will do our best to delete the data as quickly as possible.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

At our discretion, we may change our privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected here, so we encourage you to visit this page regularly. We will also notify our registered users of updates to our policy. Your continued use of this site after any changes to this policy will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information.

Business Transfers
